Churros

Early adopter price · $19 $89

A Postgres window
for your Mac.

Native to macOS 26. Edit cells in a grid, review your changes, and commit them in one transaction. Ask questions in plain English. Your data stays on your Mac.

Free 14-day trial · No credit card required

The Churros workspace — schema sidebar, query results grid, environment-tagged connection.

Postgres-aware editing

Edit. Review. Commit.

Edit any cell in the grid. Your changes stack up locally — nothing hits the database until you say so. When you're ready, commit the whole batch in one transaction. Types are checked for you, so a string never lands in a number column by accident.

  • See pending edits. A pill in the toolbar shows your changes. Discard them, or commit them together.
  • Color-coded environments. Tag connections Dev, Staging, or Prod. The color shows in the title bar so you always know where you are.
  • A real SQL editor. Autocomplete reads your live schema — tables, columns, types — not a fixed keyword list.

Ask

Ask in plain English. See the rows.

Type a question. Ask turns it into SQL using your schema, runs it read-only on your Mac, and shows the rows in the grid. It can read your data — never change it.

Privacy

Your data and queries stay on your Mac.

Local by default. Paid by you. No Churros account, no team to invite, no cloud to opt out of.

Keychain-only credentials

Connection passwords live in macOS Keychain — never in a config you might commit.

Bring your own Ask key

Ask calls OpenRouter directly with your key. No Churros server in between, so we never see your prompts or your data.

No tracking of your queries

Free Postgres tools often pay for themselves with your queries. Churros doesn't — you pay once, your queries stay yours.

What Churros is and isn't

Not the free tier.
Not the everything-IDE.

Paid, opinionated, indie. If you've paid yearly for a Postgres client before, you'll feel at home — without the engines you don't use or the renewal email every twelve months.

Churros is

  • One window per database
  • Postgres-only, macOS-only — on purpose
  • Designed for one job, done well
  • Paid by you — your data is not the price

Churros isn't

  • A multi-engine, 15-driver IDE
  • A team workspace with seats and SSO
  • Free with mandatory telemetry
  • Trying to win on a feature checklist
